About This Event:
The Will Smith Zoo School is the largest nature-based preschool program in the country. It's outdoor based curriculum aims to keep children engaged in the natural environment and exemplifies the importance of nature and play in healthy human development. Situated on the perimeter of the San Antonio Zoo on the former site of Sunshine Cottage School for Deaf Children, the new larger campus is geared toward preschoolers.
It was designed by Lake Flato, built by Guido Construction, and is projected for a high-level LEED Certification. Tour the classrooms, office, community meeting space, gardens, birdhouse, amphitheater and other amenities that promote learning through exploration.
