Building a Sustainable Future for Texas
The U.S. Green Building Council Texas is a community-benefit 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to creating a built environment that empowers all Texans to thrive for generations to come. As an aligned chapter of the national USGBC—a pioneering force in sustainable building for nearly three decades—we envision a future where every building, neighborhood, and community becomes a catalyst for health, equity, and resilience.
We unite diverse stakeholders across development, design, construction, and operation to create spaces that heal our planet, strengthen our communities, and unlock economic opportunity for all. Advocating the LEED® rating system and cutting-edge green building strategies, we prove that exceptional environmental stewardship and human wellness go hand in hand.
As a community-driven nonprofit powered by passionate volunteers, USGBC Texas brings together visionaries across our five dynamic regions—Central, Gulf Coast, North, South, and West. Born from the strategic consolidation of four chapters in 2016, we represent the spirit of Texas: bold, unified, and forward-thinking.
Through dynamic education programs, influential advocacy, and powerful networking opportunities, we serve a diverse alliance of change-makers including industry professionals, visionary developers, forward-thinking realtors, inspiring educators, progressive lawmakers, innovative manufacturers, and community leaders who refuse to accept the status quo.
