It’s hard to believe that we are approaching 10 years of USGBC Texas… and it’s time to celebrate!
We’re not just building greener buildings – we are building a new vision of Texas. One that is healthier, smarter, more equitable, and profoundly more resilient. As we roll out USGBC Texas10, our roadmap for the next decade, we are calling on you – our past, present and future members to lead the charge into the future.
USGBC has been active across the regions of our great state for much longer – formally dating back more than 20 years (USGBC Houston Chapter in 2003) – the merger of the four Legacy Chapters [need link to merger info] in 2016 marked a turning point that demonstrated our statewide reach and bolstered our growing credibility with legislators and public entities statewide
Change doesn’t happen all at once—it happens choice by choice, moment by moment, person by person. At USGBC Texas, we believe that every individual has the power to create lasting impact, and that together, we can transform the future of our communities and our state. As we approach a milestone moment in our chapter’s history, we invite all Texans—seasoned advocates and first-time changemakers alike—to join us in a journey of meaningful action, shared stories, and collective celebration. This is our time to lead boldly, act locally, and inspire globally.
