Stephen Costello is the Chief Resilience Officer for the City of Houston. Mr. Costello saw the City through the effects and aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, which in total caused over $125 billion in damage, much of which was due to extreme flooding in the Houston metropolitan area. He currently serves as a liaison between local, state and federal agencies, and City departments to collaborate and design strategies for resiliency and mitigation of flood risk. We're looking forward to his insight on what they've learned from Harvey, steps they taken in its wake, and the role of resilience in the built environment.
New this year, we'll feature a poster session during the welcome reception on Sunday evening. Poster space is limited but available for participants who would like to showcase energy code research or case studies during the reception.
To submit a poster request, forward the poster title and a brief description of the research. Selected poster submitters will be contacted and provided additional details.
