IMPLEMENTING CLIMATE ACTION & RESILIENCE Discussion with Texas Cities
Thursday, October 8th
Online meeting
3:00 PM - 4:30 PM
About the Event:
As cities across Texas develop long-range initiatives related to climate action, many other city-wide plans need to be considered or reevaluated - Resilience being front and center due to the interrelated nature of Resilience and Climate Action.
The climate action plans developed by San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, and Austin include multiple strategies to address issues across the spectrum of a city's operations, investments, and infrastructure. Additionally, environmental injustices of the past are being recognized and solutions created to address them, placing equity at the center of this effort towards a more resilient future for all.
This discussion will focus on intersection of Climate Action and Resilience and how the core competencies of USGBC Texas and our members can be leveraged to accomplish these large-scale goals across the state.
