About the Event:

To proactively address capital project construction risks, The Joint Commission requires a Pre-construction Risk Assessment (PCRA) for all planned and unplanned healthcare construction. PCRA is the umbrella for Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA), as well as other healthcare construction risks that include noise, vibration, odors, security, maintenance, life safety, ventilation, utility systems, medical equipment, storing, transporting and delivering supplies and materials, and waste management.

Demand for healthcare facility construction continues to rise. Hospitals and other healthcare facility owners seek workers who have proven familiarity with current best practices that will ensure healthcare construction delivery that protects the health and safety of patients, staff, workers, and the general public.

Learn how the PCRA/ICRA Certificate Program is designed to assist in meeting the intent and compliance requirements of the Joint Commission standard for healthcare facility demolition, construction, or renovation.
