Join the USGBC for a tour of the Botanical Research Institute of Texas (BRIT) campus, which has a LEED Platinum certification. The 70,000-square-foot facility features a living roof, daylighting, photovoltaic panels (solar energy), low-flow and low-energy fixtures, low-VOC materials, wool and linen furnishings, certified wood products, and recycled-content steel and rubber.
Greg Gunn, the Facilities Manager will lead the tour which also includes the landscaped area that features native plants, vegetated walls, bioswales, living roof, and retention pond.
