The University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School is a vibrant 16.2-acre district located in central Austin. The first phase of the district was completed in 2017, including a USGBC plaque presentation in October, 2017. The district includes over 1 million square feet of new construction in four buildings all achieving LEED Gold across three different rating systems. The district is connected to the university’s first-in-the-world PEER: Campus district energy system. The district is also the first-in-Texas SITESv2 Gold project which included restoration of a neglected urban stream, Waller creek, that runs through the middle of the district and was identified early on as an asset to the project. The tour will begin with an overview of the project management challenges and benefits with project managers from Page/, and a walking tour of the district with UT staff..
