JESTER KING BREWERY
GREEN DRINKS AND
SUSTAINABLE FARM TOUR
Jester King Brewery
13187 Fitzhugh Rd, Austin, TX 78736
5:30 PM-7:30 PM
About the Event
Inspired by the classic farmhouse breweries of Europe, Jester King is an authentic farmhouse brewery situated on 165 acres of land in the Texas hill country. Their beers incorporate well water, local grains, hops aged in their own barn, local fruits and vegetables, foraged plants, and native yeast and bacteria so as to make beer uniquely tied to a time, place, and people.
USGBC Texas has some reserved tables in the pole barn, down the hill from the brewery, which includes two bars, three wood-fired ovens, a kitchen, large beer hall, and an outdoor pasture area. The property includes a trail network that when completed will web itself throughout the scrawling lands of untouched wilderness. So far they have achieved a half mile loop which circles the initial farm instillation. From this path, you may see their vineyard, inaugural berm, meet the goats, and look off into the future of the ranch.
This event includes a special tour of their sustainable farm which starts at 7:00 PM. Grab a beer for the tour and come along to meet the goats! Wear comfortable shoes (closed toed, no heels suggested) and comfortable walking clothing - it may be pretty warm.
