About the Event
Reserve your spot for a limited opportunity to tour GreenLab, a LEED Platinum home in Preston Hollow (Dallas) holistically built with integrated green-conscious systems and Universal Design elements. Interior designer Adrienne Akin Faulkner and architect Gary Gene Olp have created an intentionally designed home that conveys comfort and livability while incorporating green initiatives that minimize its environmental impact. Hear from them both about how GreenLab was built for sustainability and the burgeoning concept of Universal Design and aging in place. A preview video is available.
From the fundamental design inspired by the home’s natural surroundings to the mechanical systems that make this home green, all aspects will be covered by the designers themselves. Features shown on the tour will include reuse of existing materials, the Ophora™ Whole Home water filtration system, the Irrigray™ graywater irrigation system, Gaggenau side-opening accessible appliances, smart storage, advanced drainage systems, energy conservation, and new material selections from Porcelanosa, Metropolitan Hardwood Floors, Taylors, Thorntree, DalTile, Arizona Tile, Ceramic Techniques, Master WoodCraft Cabinetry, Taymor, and more.
