About this event:

Join USGBC Texas for the 10th Annual USGBC Texas Energy Summit: Efficient Buildings that Create Health & Prosperity live and in-person!

This year's conference opens with a keynote from Dr. Stephanie Taylor, MD. CEO of Taylor Healthcare Commissioning, Inc.. After working as a physician for many decades, Dr. Taylor obtained a Masters in Architecture as well as Infection Control certification.  Her lifelong commitment to patient care includes focusing on improving the healthcare physical environment and clinical work processes to help patients heal quickly and save hospitals valuable dollars. She is a graduate of  Harvard Medical School (MD) and Norwich University (M Arch,).  She has numerous research publications in Nature, Science, and other peer-reviewed journals.

Our lunch keynote will be from Jason Pugh, president of NOMA, on how we learn from the past so that the design and building industry and organizations like NOMA and USGBC can collectively work toward environmental justice and equitable communities.  He is both a licensed architect and certified planner, and a Senior Associate Architect and Urban Designer at Gensler’s Chicago office. His architectural and urban design portfolio includes both domestic and international projects, ranging from small mixed use developments to dense urban in-fill and greenfield master planning sites with extensive programs covering more than 2,500+ acres.

The session tracks for this year include:

  • Design, Construction New Buildings
  • Health & Wellness Connection to Schools, Communities, and Nature
  • Green Policies and Legislation, Above Code Standards
  • New Technologies for Indoor Environment Measurement and Tracking
