Houston Wilderness Volunteer Day - Bayport Berm Tree Planting(on Port of Houston Property) Saturday, March 6, 2021 8:30 - 11:30 AM (See Below for Details)
Join USGBC Texas Gulf Coast for our first volunteer event of 2021! We'll be doing some socially-distant, outdoor tree planting with Houston Wilderness! We are so excited to see you in person!
Due to COVID-19, masks are required to be worn and we will keep a social distance of at least 6 feet. Houston Wilderness is supplying all the needed materials, however, it is recommended to bring your own gloves, water, and a shovel or trowel.
This event is rescheduled from the Tree Planting event that was supposed to take place on Feb 20. This is a NEW LOCATION: Hidalgo Park, along Harbor Dr. Coordinates: 29.744963, -95.292300
A map with more exact directions will be sent out before the event.
Planting will begin at 8:30 AM so please arrive before then. When you arrive please check in with a Houston Wilderness staff. A waiver will be sent to you after you register, and can be emailed to caroline.kostak@gmail.com, or brought in person.
Once everyone arrives a Houston Wilderness staff member will give a brief introduction and demonstrate how to plant a seedling.
