Community Benefits and Tax Abatements:
A guide for cities and counties

Free Webinar Session
(Zoom link included in confirmation email)

WHEN: Tuesday, Dec. 8
            10:30 - 11:30 a.m. (CDT)

Whether they are wanted or not, data centers are coming to Texas. A data center developer may ask your city or county for a tax abatement worth tens or even hundreds of millions of dollars. Will your community get a fair return?

The U.S. Green Building Council of Texas invites mayors, city council members, county judges, commissioners, state legislators and staff to a free one-hour webinar: Community Benefits and Tax Abatements: A guide for cities and counties. This one-hour, invitation-only, event is hosted by USGBC Texas.

In one hour, you will learn about one Texas county that secured $10 million a year in guaranteed payments, $10 million for emergency services, and $600,000 in community investment. Communities can benefit by knowing what to ask for and how to get it.

Space is limited. Please register and share this invitation with your colleagues.

This event is not a sales pitch for or against data centers. It is a frank, business leader conversation designed to give you facts. The session will help you lead your constituents and explain data center issues.

This presentation is focused exclusively for Texas County Judges, County Commissioners, Mayors, City Council Members and Legislators.
